Meet the Founder
Professional Profile
Derek is a Fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland and a Chartered Tax Consultant. Derek gained his experience having been Big 4 trained but also worked in Top 10 and mid-tier practices in UK and Ireland.
Prior to launching Fitzpatrick & Co Chartered Accountants, Derek spent almost 20 years’ gaining wide sectoral knowledge working on audit / non-audit engagements of SME companies, owner-managed companies, charities and regulated entities.
Outside of practice life Derek also worked in industry, managing the finance functions in industries including banking, professional services, charities and property development.
Derek is married with two children. When time presents itself, he has a keen interest in badminton and marathon training.
